In India 2.68 Cr persons are disabled and majority of them have no access to mobility aids even though they are in dire need of it. These citizens with disabilities are stuck staying inside their homes or in one place due to lack of provisions and sky-high costs of available solutions.

To tackle such a grave situation, Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation in unison with Hemang Jangla, District Secretary of Rotary 3141 had organised a wheelchair donation drive at Nehru Nagar, Kurla. During the drive Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation donated numerous new wheelchairs to the needy. This was the first phase of the “Saksham” drive that will be conducted in multiple phases at different locations.
