AMM Foundation Conducts Wheelchair Donation Drive at a Covid Vaccine Centre in Chembur

Some 80% of the people with disabilities in India live in low-income states. The majority of them are poor and do not have access to basic services, including rehabilitation facilities. In many developing countries, only 3% of people with disabilities who require rehabilitation services have access to them. This means that many wheelchair users are at risk of developing secondary complications and premature death that could be avoided with proper rehabilitation services.

Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation, conducted a Wheelchair Donation Drive at a Covid Vaccine Centre in Tilak Nagar, Chembur. We collaborated with Hemang Jangla, District Secretary of Rotary 3141, Poonam Mahajan, National President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and Susham Sawant, MCGM Corporator of Ward 149 on 22th May,2021. Our goal is to make mobility possible for every person in need of a wheelchair, regardless of their age.
