Women's Safety Training - 18 January 2021

With crimes against women growing every day, self-defense training becomes an empowering experience that provides women the confidence to venture out at their will and equips them with the tools to attack perpetrators in uncertain situations.

To promote the practice of self-defense training amongst women, Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation & SHED Foundation conducted a Women’s Safety Training Session in Kalina. The attendees were told about the effects of gender-based violence in our country and why women should learn self-defense training to better prepare themselves. They were then informed about the various physical and mental advantages of taking up this training. The volunteers then demonstrated various self-defense techniques and enacted situations to create more awareness amongst the women. 150+ women attended the session which helped them understand the importance of self-defense training.
