Self-defense training is more than just a tool to protect yourself. It is about training your mind and body to escape threatening situations when you face an attacker. Self-defense training also inculcates discipline and helps develop skills that allow women to feel more capable and more at peace when in an uncertain situation.
To impart self-defense training and encourage women empowerment, Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation conducted a Women’s Safety Training Session in Takshashila Nagar, Kurla. The instructors interacted with the audience and spoke about the importance of teaching young children about the difference between a good touch and a bad touch. As part of the program, the instructors demonstrated various self-defense techniques to the women in attendance. 200+ women participated in the training session and enacted the moves with the guidance of the instructors.
