Menstruation Hygiene Awareness Campaign - 17 February 2021

Underprivileged women in India are unaware of maintaining good menstrual hygiene and health. Economically backward women who do not have access to adequate sanitary supplies end up using poor substitutes like rags and ash or a cloth. These practices give rise to harmful diseases in women.

To help women in underprivileged communities, Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation conducted a Menstruation Hygiene Awareness Campaign in collaboration with Rashmi Indulkar, in Kurla district. The volunteers encouraged women to adopt hygienic ways in maintaining their menstrual cycle and good health. 200+ women in attendance were provided with a 3-month supply of sanitary pad.
