Gender norms and ignorance about menstrual health have made menstruation and any discussions around it taboo. With the objective of promoting a safe and hygienic lifestyle, Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation organized a Sanitary Pad Donation Drive in Subhash Nagar, Kurla. Our volunteers educated the women on healthy menstrual habits and encouraged them to talk about menstruation in a shame-free manner. They were told about the common health hazards that women face and offered advice on some frequently asked questions. Towards the end of the session, the 180 participants were each provided with a 3-month supply of sanitary napkins.
