In India, many public transport drivers like Rickshaw drivers were hit badly during the pandemic. The majority of them were out of jobs as the number of public transport vehicles plying on the road was greatly reduced. In order to provide a bit of assistance to them, the government introduced the Autorikshaw Financial Assistance Scheme.

Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation in order to help the rickshaw drivers get full access to this assistance and the Rs. 1500 that comes with it conducted a registration drive for the same. Many rickshaw drivers turned up at the venue to get themselves registered for the scheme.
