Financial stability is something that you achieve brick by brick. But when the brick wall is broken you have to put in double the effort to build it back up. This is what happened to our rickshaw drivers when the pandemic hit us. It took away their employment as a huge number of vehicles plying on the road curtailed. To provide help to our rickshaw drivers the government came up with the Autorickshaw Financial Assistance Scheme. This scheme provides Rs. 1,500 rickshaw drivers that register for it.

Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation to do its part conducted an Autorickshaw Financial Assistance Scheme registration drive. In this drive, we helped rickshaw drivers in need of this scheme get registered online. As many of these people aren’t tech-savvy they find it difficult through this process and hence we jumped in to help them. As many as 100 rickshaw drivers turned up to get registered for this scheme.
