The area of Dharavi in Mumbai is largely populated with almost the entirety of the crowd coming from low-income backgrounds. The health camp aimed to provide the individuals in the area and nearby with free health check-ups as it would ensure proper health tests conducted for all of them. It becomes important in a densely populated area such as Dharavi to ensure that a majority of the crowd is vaccinated and stays safe to help contain the spread of the covid strain.
AMM foundation volunteers were appointed to help these individuals through their registration process for the same. Alongside this, tests for blood pressure, physiotherapy, general check-ups and many other processes for adults and children alike were also provided. They were also handed free medicines. There were a total of 20 doctors present at this camp. The event also observed the presence of Mr. Ashwin Malik Meshram, founder and chairman of AMM, Mr. Prasad Lad, VP of BJP Maharashtra state unit, and Mrs. Nita Lad, founder of Antyodaya Pratishthan. It proved to be a success with over 300+ people getting checked.
