India ranks 145 among 195 countries in terms of quality and accessibility of healthcare. India is the 4th largest economy in the world. Our country has one of the highest populations of skilled professionals like doctors and engineers. With such calibre and potential, India is slowly turning its focus towards the improvement of healthcare and medical sciences.
Compared to other nations, India spends only 1.28% of its GDP on healthcare. Due to lack of funds for healthcare, a subsequent portion of our population must go without basic healthcare needs. In rural areas, hospitals and clinics are short-staffed affecting the quality of services provided.
India has only one doctor for every 1,668 people. This ratio does not allow the weaker sections of the society to get access to quality healthcare. Regardless of the financial status, everyone has the right to basic medical treatment.
Ashwin Malik Meshram Foundation aims to focus on healthcare and quality treatment for the weaker sections of the society. We organize camps and programs for those who need them the most. Our team of volunteers take excruciating care in delivering the best results and ensuring that no individual misses out on their right to healthy living and basic healthcare.
