In India, women’s labor force participation rate (LFPR) is 24.8 percent in the year 2020.

This means that three out of four Indian women are neither working nor seeking paid work, putting India among the bottom 10 countries in the world in terms of women’s workforce participation.

Under our initiative SHAKTI, we aim to provide skill-based trainings to 500+ women per month. The objective of this initiative is to help women earn their daily bread and to make them self reliant.

Trainings such as jewellery designing, professional tailoring, sanitary pad making, etc. will be provided, among others.
